| Purpose: |
|
The producer is to maximize client retention by providing excellent client service and support in the producer team, and to maximize new business sales by working effectively with the producer team in the sales process and with underwriters in the marketing process.
|

San Francisco, Los Angeles and other locations in California

Primary Responsibilities:
- Market, service, develop and retain assigned accounts. Meet established account development and retention objectives as well as targeted mix of business, underwriting guidelines and volume commitments.
- Perform risk analysis survey of clients and prospects, obtain renewal information, complete applications, obtain markets, deliver policies, coordinate efforts of loss control/other services, collect payments and resolve service problems.
- Meet with client when necessary to provide service, conduct renewals, and round out accounts.
- Retain and develop accounts by making recommendations regarding the risk to the client for the most cost effective and proper insurance coverage. Prepare proposals, evaluation, and recommendation of other lines of coverage and providing additional resources for the client, as needed.
- Negotiate with the insurance companies to obtain the best combination of coverage, service, and premium.
- Assist the Producer in preparing/making presentations on insurance programs on key accounts/prospects.
- Identify client needs and provide appropriate service and products.
- Attend any sales meetings and keep current with all sales programs.
- Attend company sponsored seminars and educational activities necessary to maintain product knowledge and underwriting expertise.
- Maintain client files on computer system and use computer system to perform all transactions.
- Obtain CIC credential and maintain credential and insurance license.
- Participate in any special projects at management’s request.
- Recruit and train new accounts managers
Qualification for Account Executive:
- Excellent people skills and the ability to lead people.
- At least 3 years experience as an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager (see qualification for AM or SAM).
- At least one professional designation (CPCU, CIC, ARM, CISR) and continue to maintain CE requirements.
- At least 3 years experience in a leadership role.
- Flexibility to travel.
- Property and Casualty License required.
